Anchor(TM) Hydraulic Valve Control System
Anchor™ Hydraulic Valve Control System panel allows for monitoring and operation of the hydraulically actuated valve onsite or remotely with the push of a button. The unit consists of an actuated valve, Anchor panel, with optional solar/wind power and sensors (pressure transducers, H2S sensors, tank level sensors, etc).
The Anchor™ valve control panel is a self-contained control panel for hydraulic actuated valves. Dedicated to the efficient operation of your wells, this control panel is designed to allow operators to open and close valves remotely. With an industry-proven low power electronic control system, tied to an integrated hydraulic power unit, this SCADA-ready system is a self-contained solution that ensures that the valve remains fully open without intervention.
In the simplest form, the Anchor EH Control Panel stores power in a self-contained battery that is kept charged via supplied power or solar panels. When required, the controller operates a hydraulic pump that will provide enough hydraulic fluid, at pressure, to operate an actuator. The controller constantly monitors the actuator pressure, automatically relieving or adding fluid as needed to maintain the valve in the required position, regardless of daily temperature fluctuations. This eliminates the valve creeping closed as seen with purely mechanical systems, with the associated drain on resources that manual monitoring requires. The control panel comes integration ready, with RS485 MODBUS communications protocol. This allows remote monitoring, diagnostics and operation from industry standard SCADA systems. By enabling remote command and control of the valves, operators immediately receive the benefit of reducing personnel touch time, allowing operators to focus resources more effectively.
When tied to the optional Anchor™ telemetry package or a SCADA system, you can monitor and control your valve system from your desktop. From scheduling valve cycles to verifying system functionality, to targeting service crews to specific problem wells, the Anchor EH valve control panel delivers lower lease operating expense and higher well uptime, with a lower environmental footprint. Installation is simple, with the panel supplied on a free-standing skid, ready for ground anchors. Field connections consist of connecting a single hydraulic line, the supply power and communications line. The panel comes standard as a NEMA 4 powder coated enclosure, with an integrated control door to access the keypad controller. The controller is mounted off the valve, allowing valve control from ground level regardless of where the valve is situated. If your valve is in a cellar, or high on a tree, personnel can operate the valve from the local panel, away from the pressure.
